It’s a beautiful video and will let you learn a little bit about the graduates.
Martha assembled all of the graduate gift items, delivered them to Casey and her husband, who will deliver the bags to each graduate. We hope to get pictures of this. Martha described all of the items included in the gift bags and the donators. The chapter donated $50 Target gift cards; Laura Evans donated Amazon gift cards; Judy Sandlin donated Starbucks gift cards, a stylus, bookmarks, personalized stationery, and “Graduation” decor; Courtney Page donated My Utmost for His Highest devotionals; Kelly Beach made bookplates and wrote an encouraging and sweet note for each graduate; Pat Spencer donated 4” by 6” photo frames; Karol Shaul donated Memphis T-shirts (proceeds from the shirts went to provide 144 meals at Memphis Food Bank); Martha Baker donated beverage tumblers, masks, and assembled bags; and Amy Tull, Deborah McDurmon, and Sonja Glaser donated money and bought soaps from Buff City Soaps. With everyone working together we were able to provide a nice gift and $85 worth of gift cards.
As the regulations start to loosen, we discussed meeting outdoors on a Saturday in June. We decided to meet at the Collierville Square in or right around the gazebo at 10:30am, Saturday, June 20. If the weather is bad we will meet June 27, same time and place.
(Edited to add per Deborah McDurmon: I spoke with Collierville Parks today and the Gazebo on the Square is out. It had already been reserved before this COVID-19 and they won't let me reserve anything anywhere right now. Until this STAY HOME stuff has passed us by, the parks are open but we can't reserve anything. Perhaps when we get closer to the end of June, we'll be able to schedule something.
We will install new officers. Judy Sandlin will help Deborah McDurmon with 1st Vice President position. We will discuss suggestions for programs at the June meeting. Laura Evans will be Parliamentarian.
We decided to make a phone tree to call members not in attendance to make sure everyone is ok. Those attending the meeting will receive a list from Deborah and will call to check.
Respectfully Submitted,
Courtney Page
